Interdistortions: A Dialogue in the Shadow Boundary of Melancholia-Lament
Mourning manifests itself through movement; spaces intertwine, and forms obscure their original states, emerging in unfamiliar configurations. The body, time, and space assume an intermediate position, where light and shadow, the visible and invisible, presence and absence converge. In mourning, we encounter distortion and entanglement—a distortion that seeks to establish a defensive yet forward-moving posture. A collective, internal resistance, while striving to remain still, defines itself through transitions. This internal-external dynamic reveals a new perceptual state. Time requires a timeless state, spatial identity is distorted, and the concept of self and other— within the body’s positional identity— redefines itself at the center of the leading distortion. The constructive dialogue of these transfers is based on borderline distortions, aiming to define a new manifesto between melancholia and lament. (Part of the text)
