| Category “Works up to 2011” comprises sections of my older work, most of which is created back in Iran: part of my artistic efforts up until 2011, when I immigrated to France. Except the installation “Sculpture”, successfully exhibited in 2008, the other works of this category have never been – and will probably never be – exhibited. That’s why I tried to provide here a summary of different aspects of my work during these years. Some of these sections are presented as series, such as the pastel and acrylic paintings on paper or the drawings of nature. Others, such as the canvases, are selected work from different periods of my activity. During different periods of painting on canvas, I tried various, sometimes contradictory ways to continue my artistic path. But here, I tried to present pieces of work that had a tangible effect on the progression of my artistic path. 2011 was a year of transition, aiming at a more thorough understanding of the way. |
